This morning I woke up to a very exciting email. Proof that my interviews all went well. I woke up to the news that I am progressing through to becoming the new English teacher on board the Africa Mercy.
Things aren’t quite finalised yet. There are a number of HR steps that I now need to take. But it is looking very likely that I will be heading to Madagascar later this year. I’m just waiting for the next lot of paperwork and tasks to come through so I can move closer to knowing exactly when I will be leaving.
I know that the next stages will involve a number of vaccines, the beginning of my fundraising journey and starting to organise what I will take on the ship with me and what will be left behind.
I’m so excited for this new adventure and to see what God will do through and in me.
