We are celebrating here in Madagascar!!!
The last few months have been really challenging for all the crew here in Madagascar. We’ve been facing some big issues that we weren’t sure if they were going to get resolved, or if we would have to leave Madagascar early. But thankfully, last Wednesday night (mere hours before we would have had to make the final decision to leave) everything came through and we are able to stay. Thank you to those who were praying.
So of course, we needed to celebrate. So Thursday night we had a massive party on the dock. When they were planning this party we didn’t know if it was a farewell party or a celebration. Thankfully it was a celebration. And we celebrated in the best way we knew how, worshipping God.
So enjoy a song I was privileged to see with the choir from the ship (The Key of Sea) as well as a local Malagasy Youth Choir. It was so much fun singing Goodness of God in English and Malagasy (the local language).
My favourite parts were when we started singing in Malagasy and the cheer we got when everyone realised what was happening and also at the end when we all sang in our own languages. A glimpse of what heaven will be like, everyone praising God in their own language.
